Overcalls after Opener's pre-empt need to have 1 level opening values... No weak overcalls after a pre-empt : because Opp's punitive double is looming !
With 4 cards in the other suits : double you can have 3 cards in a minor but not more!
With 6 cards in a suit or 5 "nice" cards and an interesting distribution, bid the suit
Be Careful! After a pre-empt, never bid a Michaels cue-bid. With 2-suiters there are specific conventions you can use.

With 2-suiter hands (2 suits with at least 5 cards and honors concentrated in these 2 suits):
On a pre-empt opening of 3♣ or 3♦, the cue-bid shows a 2-suiter in both majors
On a major opening, a cue-bid shows a 2-suiter in the other major and a minor
4NT shows a 2-suiter in the minors on a 3 ♥ or 3 ♠ pre-empt .
