Two-suiter (both majors) overcalls after an opening in a minor at the 1 level
After an opening in a minor at the 1 level, the bid 2
♦ is conventional. It means :
- a 2-suiter both majors with 5 cards. Generally speaking each one of the majors should have 2 of the big 3 honors ... but not always.
- depending on vulnerability a point count of at least 7-8HCP
- You should be more concerned about the quality of the majors and vulnerability than your HCP !
There is no upper point limit on this bid
