Leading odd-even in P's suit on a trump contract.
Is often a good lead, but not always. First of all, think about "The General Rules of leading"
  • It's better to avoid leading in P's suit especially when you have the ace in his suit.
  • Singleton or doubletons can sometimes turn out to be better leads than that of P's suit!
  • Leading from the top of a sequence is sometimes just as efficient.

Avoid leading under an ace, even when it's your P's suit.
If the King is with your P, it's rare that these 2 tricks will vanish. However, if the Opp has the King then why give him a present!
