The Lob Play
In tennis, a lob requires sending a ball above and behind the Opp. In bridge, the Lob Play forces the Opp to duck a trick. In a suit contract, it requires playing in a secondary suit towards an honor in Declarer's hand. If the Opp trumps you play a low card, if he doesn't you play your honor. If Opp trumps, its with his values and your eliminate a loser in the secondary suit.
Example : You are the Declarer in South, playing a 3 ♥ contract and can only afford to lose 4 tricks. You can't avoid losing 2 ♣ and 1♠ and 1 trump tricks. How can you avoid losing a trick in ♦ ?
