Fitted 2NT
the fitted 2NT is a convention used by the responder, after an opening of 1 in a major.
This very precise response shows :
  • 3 cards in the major. (et pas 2, 4 ou 5 !)
  • Une force de 11HCP (not 12 or 13 ! )
  • A regular hand without any 5 cards suit

The 2NT bid is conventional ; it does not guarantee any stopper. Finally, it is not forcing forcing ... the opener may pass.
