Ruffing Finesse

Ruffing Finesse
This play consists of forcing Opp to play an honor, then ruffing. In this way, one of your lower ranking honors becomes a leading card.

You're South, Declarer of a contract.

Play the King . If Opponent covers with the Ace, ruff from dummy and 3 tricks are on a plate. If West plays a low card, don't ruff but sluff one of dummy's losers. Repeat play until East covers.
 
 
Example : You are in South's seat playing a 5 contract. You've already lost the first 2 tricks. How are you going to play ?
Don't forget E opened 1 ! Will you finesse and play a low card to the Jack ? Of course not ! This would be a losing proposition.

If the Queen is in East, then contract is successful, if the Queen is in W you are -1. A direct finesse to the Jack is likely to make your contract go down 2. ( and trick)
