Play the King ♦. If Opponent covers with the Ace, ruff from dummy and 3 ♦ tricks are on a plate. If West plays a low card, don't ruff but sluff one of dummy's losers. Repeat play until East covers.
Example : You are in South's seat playing a 5 ♦ contract. You've already lost the first 2 ♥ tricks. How are you going to play ♠ ?
Don't forget E opened 1 ♠ ! Will you finesse and play a low card to the Jack ♠ ? Of course not ! This would be a losing proposition.

Exercise Q3911 You are going to play a ruffing finesse. After having played the King ♠ , next up is the Jack ♠. If East covers, you ruff, if not you "sluff" a low ♣. If the Queen is in East, then contract is successful, if the Queen is in W you are -1. A direct finesse to the Jack is likely to make your contract go down 2. (♠ and ♣ trick)
