PDF
After a 1 opening and a 1 overcall
  • Evaluate your hand - not only your HCP but also how your honors are positioned To bid a suit or bid a negative double, the honors need to be in your team's suits.
  • Jump bids of 3 and 4 are pre-empts with 7-8 cards and less than 10HCP
  • NT bids need stoppers and at least 2 cards
  • a cue-bid denies the possibility of a natural or a negative double bid

Last but not least, if you have a great defensive hand, learn to pass so that you can defeat your Opp's contract.
