The cue bid response to an overcall

PDF
In response to an overcall by a suit,
The simple cue bid (no jump) of the opener's suit indicates at least 11HCP but doesn't guarantee a fit. It's an investigating cue bid
  • which makes it possible to look for game at an economic level and to be able to stop if the overcall was minimum.
  • This bid is forcing.
