Impossible rebids after a 1NT first response

PDF
The responder's impossible bid : following a 1NT first response and the opener's major two-suiter
Responder's 1NT bid on the 1st round shows less than 11HCP and no support.
Therefore, on the 2nd round, all jump bids are impossible bids ! This means
a serious preference for the 2nd suit, with a nice support : we can go to game, and why not to slam..
  • A jump bid to 3NT shows a good fit in the 2nd bid suit and a singleton in the 1st one
  • A jump bid in the 1st suit shows a good fit in the 2nd suit and a high honor in the 1st one.
  • A jump bid in any of the 2 other suits shows a high honor (in the named suit)

Problem E5360 3 ... definitely an impossible bid : showing a good support and a high honor. Serious slam ambitions...

The responder's impossible bid : following a 1NT first response and the opener's major two-suiter : 3NT
A jump bid to 3NT is clearly also an impossible bid. The responder (who bid 1NT on the 1st round) can't jump to 3NT on the 2nd round.
Therefore, this bid is used to show a singleton in the opener's 1st named suit and of course and very good support in the 2nd one.

Problem E5645 3NT, impossible bid showing a good support and a singleton in the 1st suit ()

The responder's impossible bid : following a 1NT first response and the opener's major two-suiter : jump in a new suit
If he had had a magnificent suit, the responder would have bid it on the 1st round. Therefore...what does that mean ?This impossible bid shows a very good support in the opener's 2nd suit and a high honor (Ace or K) in the named suit.
