Bids on 2NT openings

PDF
responses to 2NT openings
On a 2NT opening, the Opener promises exactly 20-21HCP and a regular hand. Sometimes, it's possible to have a 5 card major. Responder passes with less than 4HCP. With +4HCP Responder's bids are :
  • 3 with at least one major with 3 or 4 cards : with only 3 cards in a major, you need an irregular hand (void or singleton)
  • Transfer 5 cards in a major or 6 in a minor: Opener only rectifies if he has a 3 card support
  • 3NT natural, no 3 card major and support to play Game.
  • 4 two-suiter minors and Game forcing
  • 4 two-suiter majors and Game forcing
