When sitting in third position, you need at least 7-8 H and an interesting suit to open the bidding sequence.
- You can open in third position with a hand you would have made a "moderate overcall" with.
- It will at least give information to your partner for the lead...
- In third position, preempt rules are not the same. With an interesting hand, "upgrading" your preempt might be worth it.
