- X always promises a minimum of 4 cards in the major immediately after the overcalled suit :
- On an 1♦ overcall X promises a minimum of 4♥ cards
- On a 1♥ overcall X promises a minimum of 4♠ cards
- bidding 1♥ promises a minimum of 4 ♠ cards
- bidding 1♠ denies 4 ♠ cards but gives the possibility of a 1NT bid
