As is the case after a 1NT opening, a jump rectification bid after a 2NT opening promises :
  • Maximum points (21HCP)
  • At least a doubleton
  • A 4 card fit
It also promises honor controls in all suits . that is because the bidding level reached leaves no room for control bids.
