When you have a weak balanced hand (4333) , and 3 cards to support your partner's major suitthink twice before bidding and supporting
  • Holding 3 low support cards, with 4 ♠ cards (including an honor) and a maximum of 7 HCP, bid 1♠. On the next round of auction, you'll either pass (partner's repetition) or make a preference bid (2♥)
  • Holding a 4333 hand, with 4 cards in one of the minors, bid 1NT, even with your 3 cards support
Whatever the situation is, your partner understands you are weak. He will decide what to do accordingly, and most of the time avoid to bid an impossible game...
