2NT or 3NT rebids by the opener
- On a 1 in a major opening and after a 2/1 reponse, a 2NT rebid shows a regular hand 5/3/3/2 with 15 to 17HCP that could not be opened 1NT.
- On a 1 ♦ opening and a 2 ♣ response, the 2BT rebid shows a regular hand with 12-14HCP. It could not show 15-17HCP, as such a hand would have been opened 1NT
- In all cases, in that sequence (2/1 suit change by the responder), a 3NT rebid shows a 3rd zone hand (18-19HCP)
