After an opening at level 1 and a level 1 response , With a 3rd zone opening and 4 cards in ♠, should you bid 1♠ ?
TIt all depends on your strength in the 4th suit !
  • If you fear a lead in the 4th suit, bid 1 ♠
  • If you are not afraid of a a lead in the 4th suit, bid 1NT
You'll be able to find the best part-score, game or slam in BT, à ♠ or even in the responder's suit.The 2NT bid is strong, but non forcing .
