Bu doubling your partner's Stayman, lthe opps is requesting a ♣ lead ♣ : He has a nice 5 carder ♣. The NT contract is probably compromised and you must do everything possible soyhat the contract is played by the right hand (Lead by the overcall or protection of the ♣ honors).
It makes the opener's rebid more difficult ! He will bid a major only with a ♣ stopper and if he can be the declarer
The various rebids are :

- cue-bid at 3 or 4 ♣ : 2 4 card majors and, respectively, minimum (15H) or maximum (16-17H)
- 2♦ at least 5 cards in ♦ and no 4 card major(with or without a ♣ stopper).
Problem E7766 With 4 cards in ♠ and a ♣ stopper, you just give the usual response to the Stayman.
Problem E5291 No stopper in ♣ and no 4 card major and no long suit in ♦. For now, you must pass. Patience, Your partner will have a chance to bid.
