The 'Big Play'
The 'Big Play' is a card play technique used in a trump contract. It enables the declarer to get the maximum number of tricks in trump, particularly when he has realized that an opp has a trump honor that cannot be finessed.
The 'Big Play'
Example : You are the declarer in a ♠ contract and, to make, you cab't afford to lose a trump trick. You eliminate all the suits and, 3 cards from the end, you play the 10♥ , putting you dangerous in hand... and he has to play trump in your tenace..

The 'Big Play'
- consists in willingly ruffing even leading cards
- in order to shorten you long trump hand until you have the same number of cards as the opp
- When you have achieved that objective, 3 cards from the end, you throw him in, so he has to play trump in your tenace.
