Your partner led showing count (odd-even) in your long suit. You should not take the first trick if :
  • The opps have only one stopper in your suit and you have no other entry
  • The opps ahev a double stopper in your suit and you only have 1 side entry
In both cases, to establish and cash in your suit, your partner has to :
  • get back in hand during play
  • Play the lead suit a 2nd time
