You count as losers, in any suits the number of Aces, Kings or Queens missing.
As a consequence, there are 3 losers per suit:
  • The Ace
  • The King
  • The Queen
Example : How many losers do you count in the following hand ?
You have only 6 points but count only 6 losers: 2 in spades, 2 in hearts, 1 in clubs, and 1 in diamonds.At the 2-level, the maximum tolerated when non-vulnerable is 7! So intervene by bidding 2 diamonds to show your two-suited hand.
