With a fit in the opener's major, the responder's bids are hardly affected by the second seat overcaller.
  • PASS with less than 4-5HCP.
  • Support bids:
    • at the lowest level with three trumps and more than 4-5HCP
    • propose game at the three level with four trumps and 8-9HCP
    • go to game with four trumps and 10-11HCP
  • Make a forcing jump shift with 11HCP or more and a five-card suit
  • Cue bid the overcalled suit with 12HCP or more (slam proposal)
